The project “Ukrainian stars for children with Down’s syndrome” arranged by the Ukrainian charity organization “Down’s syndrome” and Photography school of Viktor Marushchenko. The goal of this project is to change the attitude of the society towards the children, born with Down’s syndrome. The leading Ukrainian intellectuals, artists, sportsmen and cultural workers will be participating in photo sessions and other special projects together with the children with Down’s syndrome during 5 months in order to attract public attention to them.
The project “Ukrainian stars for children with Down’s syndrome” will be closed at the end of the year by the photo exhibition, which is to go on show in Bottega Gallery, publishing of wall calendar and charity action.
Each photo session is a unique communication, game and exploring of new and unexpected human worlds by participants. The photo session is the way to show what kind of position the children with Down’s syndrome might take in the Ukrainian society.
Within the framework of this project, the following photo sessions have already took place: with the journalist Nikolay Veresen, poet and founder of publishing house “A-BA-BA-GA-LA-MA-GA” Ivan Malkovich, TV presenter Vasylisa Frolova, actor Bogdan Stupka, singer Garik Krychevskiy, music band “Alibi”, designer Liliya Pustovit, football player Andrey Shevchenko, writer Sofia Andruhovich, and music band Esthetic Education. |
