Oleksandr Zhyvotkov: “I want just go”.
Oleksandr Zhyvotkov’s picture, complicated, beautiful, wounded, with its cuts and a troubled pain layer, is a philosophical embodiment of the artist’s firm belief in spirituality strengthening and infinity. Zhyvotkov’s painting style comprises icon flatness, severity of artistic means, ascetic restricted palette. His works are in museums of Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy. Also they are in the museums of Russia, USA, Austria and in private collections and galleries of European countries, USA, Asia and Africa. He was born in 1964. He is the member of the National Artists Union of Ukraine since 1989. Lives and works in Kyiv.
Education:
1975-82 - studied at Taras Shevchenko Republican Art School, Kyiv, Ukraine
1982-88 - studied at the Kiev State Art Institute, Kyiv, Ukraine
