Valeriya Troubina is the prominent Ukrainian painter, whose creative growth arose together with the artists of “Paris commune” – the famous Kyiv group in the end of the 80th – beginning of 90th of the XX century, achievements of whom are traditionally connected with the world’s post-modern trend – Italian transavantgarde.
Creativity of Valeria Troubina is absolutely free of any social or political tendencies, and is directed towards exceptionally aesthetic categories – such as spirituality in art, responsibility of an artist and Beauty as the highest value.
Works of the artist are in the State Tretyakovska gallery (Moscow), National museum of Russian art (Moscow), National fine arts museum (Kyiv), as well as in the private collections of Sweden, USA, Great Britain, Russia, Ukraine.
Valeriya Troubina was born in 1966. In 1990 she became a member of Ukrainian Union of Artists. Lives and works in Berkeley, California, USA.
