Volodymyra Hankevych – unique Ukrainian master of textile. She experiments with modern technologies and materials, adds in abstract motifs in traditional textile.
She is participant of international and national exhibitions, author of many monumental pictures for government and office buildings in Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia. She was born in 1955 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. Member of Union of artists of Ukraine from 1990. Lives and works in Lviv.
Education:
1979 – graduated from the Lviv Academy of Arts.
